The Obstinate Pen by Frank W. Dormer
The publisher says… This is what Uncle Flood wants to write with his new pen: The following story is all true. But the pen does not write that sentence. Instead it writes: You have a big nose! Who knows what to do with a pen that has a will of its own? Not Uncle Flood. Not Officer Wonkle. But young Horace has an idea…
Eva says… So this guy gets this pen and it’s nothing but trouble. I mean, he wants to write ONE thing, and that pen writes something else! And everybody who tries that pen, it does the same thing. You try to write something nice and it just writes something snarky.
But then this boy Horace gets the pen and HE just wants to DRAW! And that pen can DO that.
So they make lots of pictures and then everybody’s happy.
So that’s that.
